In 1992, after completing his apprenticeship as a designer of advertising technology, Tom Schütz set up his own business and founded the sole proprietorship Schütz-Schriften.

The Bürgschaftsgenossenschaft des Kantons Bern supported him with a guarantee. This laid the foundation for today's werk5.ch group of companies.

The five companies (Schütz & Weibel 1992, Print-Tech 1994, Fadegrad 2000, A5 Schrift und Bild 2005 and the Q-4 Sport und Mode AG 2006) were gradually founded with various partners. Today, the werk5.ch group of companies can offer a complete range of promotional items in the fields of promo textiles, textile finishing, graphics, lettering, industrial screen and pad printing and promotional items.
